Batchelor's follies - select to see a larger image

Image reproduced by kind permission of Eileen Bailey.

Eileen’s mother got her a job at Batchelors when she was fourteen years old. It was during the Second World War and she used to prepare tins of fruit and vegetables for the troops.

She was chosen as one of the chorus line of the Batchelors Follies and used to entertain troops stationed nearby. She can be seen here in the centre of the photograph.
