Women's Wartime Work

During the Second World War, many women filled the jobs left behind by the men in order to maintain essential services and supplies for the troops. Many women had not experienced such independence before.

Young women went out to work during the Second World War. Often at the end of the day there was fun to be had with the foreign soldiers stationed nearby.
